A minimum of two tubs may be necessary in each pasture to assure all horses have access to supplements. Consumption will depend on the size of the horse, seasonal weather conditions, and quality and quantity of supplemental feed provided to the horse. Horses will typically consume between 0.5 to 3 lbs per horse per day. If consumption exceeds 3 lbs per horse per day, the tubs should be removed.
